A beautiful, iridescent full moon illuminates the Thames, invoking both a tranquillity and a haunting sense of mystery. Born. in Leeds, Meegan studied at Leeds School of Art. An extensive traveller, he lived in New York before returning to settle in Scarborough. A pupil of John Atkinson Grimshaw, his teacher’s influence can clearly be seen in his oeuvre. His works are held in public collections, including the Scarborough Art gallery and Leeds Museums and Galleries.
